Your local farmer's market is a great place to stock up on healthy snack foods.

With Halloween just around the corner, stock up your pantry and refrigerator with some healthy snack foods before the candy and treats take up all the space. You’ll find ten suggestions for some unprocessed, tasty snack choices in my guest post at EatingRules. For the month of October, EatingRules has challenged us to eat only unprocessed food, eliminating processed foods laden with extra sugar, salt, fat, and artificial ingredients from our diet. As a realistic busy parent, I suggested that some easy snack choices would be helpful, especially for us on-the-run carpool crazy parents. Which naturally led to his request for me to put a list of suggestions together. Go check it out and take a few minutes to look around his site at some of the other great posts and suggestions for healthy, tasty unprocessed eating.

I have one daughter that is big on strawberries, one on apples, and a son on grapes. Somehow they always all go bad. Why can’t they like the same thing ;) ?
