Wordless Wednesday (almost) – Pumpkin Pecan Pancakes

For those of you who know me personally or read my blog regularly, you’ll know that it is nearly impossible for me to be wordless. But here’s my attempt using the photo caption as my cheat. (Sneaky of me, isn’t it?)

Wordless Wednesday

Long Wordy Caption: Ready to get in the mood for Halloween and Thanksgiving? Add a little pumpkin to your life! Buy it canned (or fresh if you’ve got time to roast it) and add it to your favorite Sunday morning pancake recipe (no judging if it’s from a box). A couple of large spoonfuls and a little cinnamon and vanilla and you’ve got a seasonal flapjack. Oh yeah, and pop a few pecans in the toaster to bake at 300 degrees for about 5 minutes and add them in too – ridiculously yummy with pumpkin. And remember the real maple syrup – the perfect topper!

What’s your favorite pumpkin recipe?

sounds yummy. will have to try. I usually put walnuts in my pancakes or pecans if I have them. I do this when blueberries are not readily available for the buying.

I made pecan pancakes for breakfast this morning but without the pumpkin. I will certainly have to give this recipe a try. Thanks for the idea of toasting the pecans.
