It’s Almost Passover but I’m Playing with Flour!

With less than a week and half until Passover, I should be inspiring you with recipes for unleavened, flourless, matzo-based delectables, but instead I am in the kitchen playing with flour. For those of you who know me personally, it will come as no surprise that I am not following the dietary rules or doing things in the expected order. You see, I am heading to New York City on Friday for the International Association of Culinary Professionals Conference and I was out of business cards. A food blogger can’t go to a show filled with professional chefs, cookbook authors, and culinary wizards from all over the world without business cards right? I knew you’d understand. And, um, what do you think of the photo?

    The flour is very cute.
    I do hope you will have a minute to call me when you are in the big apple.
    Oh, I forgot to tell you that I fed Alan the Nutella Tartine one Sunday morning (seeing as how tartine was one of his favorite things he obsessed over while we were in France). While I was making it he thought it was a bit fussy for a tartine. Then he bit into it and absolutely loved it. Thank you so much for posting it.

      Oh it is my favorite part of Passover except maybe for the matzo balls and oh yeah, the charoset and …. Ok – I love it all!

    It’s that sandwich. The horseradish and charoset combined with the crunchy romaine and flame cooked shmura… I find it to be so absolutely delicious that my mouth is watering right now, just thinking about it.

      The hillel sandwich – such an odd but wonderful combination – the spicy hot horseradish against the crunchy, almost meaty and sweet charoset and crackling matzo. Love it too!

    Favorite at the seder table? It is definitely the sandwich. The charoset and freshly grated horseradish combined with crunchy romaine and the fired toasted, hand-made, shmura matza is absolutely delicious. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!
