Four years and 182 posts later, I’m still blogging! Today marks the fourth anniversary of OMG! Yummy and I thought you, my loyal readers, might enjoy knowing what my top five most popular posts of all time are (based on number of views):
The carnivores come out on top with #1 and #2:
1. How to Grill Perfect Baby Back Ribs
But the vegetable lovers are coming up the rear at the #3 and #4 spot:
3. Roasted Cauliflower: The Whole Truth
4. How to Cook Cauliflower: Roast your Way to Success
I guess I should be posting about cauliflower every week, you guys love it so much!
and coming in a strong 5th position is one of my favorite BFD (Breakfast for Dinner) posts:
5. Hawaiian Food Traditions: Ted’s Bakery and Portuguese Sausage, Rice, and Eggs
I have a few favorite posts of my own:
Favorite How-to Post: Pie Dough for Dummies
Favorite Food Story Post: Bake for the Memories
Favorite Breakfast Recipe: Agave-sweetened Pecan Coconut Granola
Favorite Original Recipe: Cranberry Orange Rugelach
Favorite Travel Post: Hobbling on the Cobble: A Food Tour of Boston’s North End
But what I’d really like to know is:
What are your favorite OMG! Yummy posts and why?
While my stats, in theory, already tell me that. The numbers can be skewed for all kinds of wacky reasons so I would love to hear from you. And to thank you for taking the time to tell me, I am bringing back my pick-your-own-cookbook giveaway.
When you leave a comment below with your favorite post and why, I’ll enter you into the giveaway. When I pick the winner by random, the winner just has to tell me what cookbook they want and why, and I’ll send it to them!
If you want to increase your chances of winning, you can enter in other ways and I’ll drop your name in the hat for each additional effort you make. Here are the other ways you can enter:
1. Subscribe to my blog by email. (in Follow box in the right column or click on envelope in header) You will never get any junk mail – just an email when I put up a new post.
2. Follow me on Pinterest or pin this post
3. Like my OMG! Yummy Facebook page
4. Add me to a circle on Google Plus or +1 this post
5. Follow me on Twitter
6. Follow me on Instagram
If you do any of the additional entry options, just let me know in a comment so I can keep track of your hard work.
This contest is open to all US Residents and will close at midnight on Feb 17.
I hope you will continue to join me in my kitchen for at least four more years! Your questions, comments, and stories inspire me every single day!
Mazel tov, Beth! I’ve been quite behind on reading my favorite blogs and am catching up now – sorry to miss the deadline for your cookbook drawing. I’m so happy for your blogiversary and look forward to many, many more years of your beautiful posts. You’ve shared many delicious recipes and my favorites are the ones with your warm family memories, like the ones with your Bubbe. Stories just bring the food to life in such a meaningful way, and you do this extremely well. Thank you for opening your kitchen to all of us! xx
Oh Hannah – I know why you are behind on blogging – you go girl! Can’t wait to hear/see more of your new project. Thanks for stopping by – you and your posts inspire me to keep going even when I am too exhausted to even think about writing or cooking. My Bubbe and I thank you 🙂
