October UnprocessedFor the fourth year in a row, I am proud to be a guest blogger for Eating Rules October #Unprocessed Food Challenge. My post is about exploring new cuisines and their ingredients to add new flavors to your unprocessed diet, with a focus on tart and tangy pomegranate molasses.

Head over to Andrew Wilder’s blog EatingRules to read the full post and spend some time browsing the rest of the site to find so many yummy and healthy unprocessed choices even for families with a fast-paced schedule. And if you missed my previous posts for October Unprocessed 2010, 2011, and 2012 you can find the links here: Family-Friendly Healthy Snacks, the Healing Properties of Food, and Make-at-Home Fast Food.

Remember yummy, healthy, easy, and fast are not mutually exclusive adjectives in your kitchen!

Yikes – pomegranate molasses is an ingredient of my post up tomorrow, I think. I wish I had known how to make my own before I posted! I LOVE the stuff…

I tried it yesterday just to be sure – it is about a 75% reduction – more than that and it becomes too thick, less than that and it’s probably still good but more like a syrup. A little sweetener or meyer lemon would probably be good but it tasted pretty swell all on its own. Can’t wait to see your post!
