Wordless Wednesday: Happy July 4th from Paris!

If you enjoy my content, please share!

Can’t recall every being out of the country for July 4th, but I am! An unexpected, last minute trip to France and voila – here I am – an American in Paris on Independence Day. Not sure how we will commemorate the day yet but here are a couple of patriotic-colored photos from our food walks so far, taken by @gregorytlee.

Have a spectacularly yummy day of celebrations.

What is your favorite tradition on July 4th and how would you celebrate if you were not in the U.S. for Independence Day?

Oh that raspberry tart looks absolutely scumptious!!! Many, many (many) years ago, when I was working on a cruise ship for a long summer, we were docked in London (Lands’ End) on July 4. It was a bit odd, being in the place we were supposed to celebrate being apart from. So, it happens that Pocahontas is buried at Lands’ End. We went to go see her grave — very sad that she went there just to visit and contracted what we think of as a harmless childhood disease and died. (Just like the many Hawaiians who had the same problem.) Had a nice pub lunch and that was the end of our Independence Day celebration. I hope you have a grand time. Can’t want to read the blog about your whole trip. Paris is so wonderful and the food . . . well, you know!

That’s a great story Georgia! It was a bit odd to not be in the US tho had we wanted to seek out a celebration, there were some going on but mostly just business as usual. Being in England would be even more strange.
