How to Make
Once you taste these preserved lemons and realize how easy they are to make, you’ll wonder where this deeply flavorful condiment has been all your life!
Ingredients you'll need: Try to find unwaxed organic lemons.
Use unwaxed lemons and cut deep slits in them. Then use kosher salt to fill up the space. You'll need about a tablespoon per lemon.
Place the filled lemons in your sterilized jar, pushing them in as tightly as you can. Now let the jar sit for a week in a cool, dry place.
After one week, add enough lemon juice to cover the lemons, any optional aromatics, then cover and let sit for 3 more weeks.
After 4 weeks, the lemons are ready to use. Store them in the refrigerator and use for pasta, dips, dressings, chicken, fish and so much more.
