In a medium-sized pot on the stove, bring the tea, honey, sugar and oil to a boil until the honey and sugar dissolve.

Add the baking soda to the tea mixture and keep stirring. It will foam up. And then it will relax back down.

Add the cinnamon, ginger, clove and nutmeg and stir well to make sure the spices are distributed throughout.

Once the mixture is cooled, add the eggs and then the flour one cup at a time, to the tea mixture. Batter should be thick but pourable.

Add the nuts and raisins to the batter and mix until incorporated. Then pour into a greased Bundt pan to bake.

Bake as directed in the recipe. Expect it to crack on top while baking. Isn’t it beautiful? Let it cool slightly before removing from pan.
